24/7 professional support for businesses

Since 1983 Peninsula has been providing professional services to small businesses across the UK. We started small ourselves, just a few people in a room. So, although we’ve grown over the years, our values remain the same. We know what small businesses need because we are still a small business at heart.

Our first specialism was employment law. For a small business to navigate that maze is next to impossible without the right help. But the cost of having an HR professional on staff is too high for most small businesses and traditional lawyers often don’t understand small business needs.

That’s where Peninsula comes in. With us on your side it’s like having your own HR team at a fraction of the cost.

Instead of cutting corners and putting yourself and your business at risk give us a call

Health & Safety

Health & Safety law can be very demanding, especially for a small business owner.   That’s where Peninsula can help with different risks and requirements.

Stressful Restructuring Process

Block Solutions went through a “stressful restructuring process” shortly after the organisation was taken over by a new employer. As with any takeover and consequent restructure, redundancies were becoming inevitable. HR director, Laura, was becoming increasingly concerned about the implications of making redundancies, as there were a number of long-serving employees who could potentially take the business to a tribunal.

There was also concern over the HR disputes that may follow the reorganisation and in particular the potential disruption it would cause to Block’s everyday processes.

Peninsula was able to make sure the restructure took place “seamlessly”, ensuring that Block Solutions could continue to operate with minimal impact on the service provided.

Peninsula provided comprehensive advice with regards to the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) regulations (TUPE) to Block Solutions’ internal HR team – explaining the risks that could occur as a result of making redundancies and offering full support should redundancy action be necessary.

We wanted to ensure our clients had swift and easy access to professional legal and employment advice. We were put in touch with Peninsula, which proved to be a perfect fit.

John Garrard, Managing Director of Fish Insurance

A discussion with our HR and employment law experts led to the realisation that Bradley’s Bakers had been given some poor advice by its local trade association. The advice could have resulted in an employment tribunal, so Peninsula worked quickly to guide Bradley’s through the correct procedures to resolve the issue.

Gill Bradley, Owner at Bradley’s Bakers said “Peninsula’s HR and employment law team give us excellent advice. We always feel confident going into meetings with members of staff and our team appreciates it too, as we’re now a much more professional and well-organised company”.

Peace of mind for you and your business
The Business Supermarket has strategic partnerships with numerous UK companies, across thousands of products and services, all available through our Business Supermarket where, quality and customer service will always take precedence in everything that we do.  At The Business Supermarket, we appreciate that it can take years to build the right customer relationships, but seconds to lose that trust.  It’s therefore imperative that we collaborate with market leaders to provide our customers with the highest levels of quality and customer service.

Financial Services through the The Business Supermarket
We have several financial service products available via our Business Supermarket.  Our role – as introducers within this market sector – is to guide and simplify the processes involved.  Once a customer’s requirements have been identified, a qualified Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) will then be appointed.  All contracted IFA’s are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and therefore qualified to advise.  Your nominated The Business Supermarket representative will be your personal customer service manager.  They are unable to offer financial advice, but will be on hand as your day to day point of contact.
